THEME

The Greece, 2023, 100 Euro Gold Coin “Artemis: Goddess of the Moon & Hunt” honours Artemis, one of the most enigmatic and revered deities of the ancient Greek world. Daughter of Zeus and twin sister of Apollo, Artemis embodies both the untamed spirit of nature and the quiet, luminous power of the moon. Protector of wildlife and guardian of purity, she moves between shadow and light—hunter and protector, fierce yet serene. This exquisite gold issue captures that duality, reflecting a divine presence that is at once distant and intimately connected to the rhythms of the natural world. Struck in fine gold and finished to proof standard, the coin stands as a tribute to independence, balance, and the timeless harmony between humanity and the wild.
